About Us
Tejumade Tejuoso is a pioneering Nigerian sustainable fashion brand, founded by renowned sustainability and women empowerment expert Tejumade Tejuoso. Our clothing line embodies a commitment to sustainability, circular fashion, and impactful social change, designed for the modern, conscious woman who values both style and substance.
As the first Nigerian fashion brand to introduce a buy-back program, we empower our customers to actively participate in a circular economy by allowing them to return pre-loved pieces for store credit, promoting the recycling and reuse of quality fashion. Each piece in our collection is crafted from biodegradable fabrics, reflecting our dedication to eco-friendly practices and reducing waste in the fashion industry.
Our mission goes beyond clothing; we aim to make a lasting social impact by supporting women and contributing to African development. By choosing Tejumade Tejuoso, you’re supporting a brand that combines elegance with a genuine commitment to sustainable practices and the empowerment of women across Africa.
Our Sustainability Agenda
Responsible Consumption and Production – We are dedicated to reducing waste generation by focusing on prevention, reduction, recycling, and reuse. With this purpose in mind, we offer a buy-back option that allows you to resell your Tejumade Tejuoso outfits for store credit, empowering you to invest in another sustainable piece. Additionally, we provide repair services to extend the life of your outfits. This initiative supports SDG 12.5 by actively reducing fashion waste. All our designs are crafted from biodegradable fabrics, underscoring our commitment to the environmentally sound management of chemicals and waste, aligned with SDG 12.4.
Gender Equality – We are committed to promoting gender equality, aiming to support equal opportunities in leadership and economic empowerment as stated in SDG 5.5. Through allocating 10% of our profits to initiatives that empower women and girls, and by fostering a workplace with equal representation, we contribute to reducing barriers to economic participation for women and increasing their capacity to impact their communities
Decent Work and Economic Growth – We are dedicated to fostering a respectful and inclusive work environment, advancing our goal of providing full and productive employment with fair wages for all our employees. Our commitment to equitable treatment includes ensuring fair compensation and access to essential amenities within our means. This initiative aligns with SDG 8.5, supporting decent work for all and promoting sustainable economic growth.
Reduced Inequalities – Our mission includes promoting equitable economic growth by aiming to increase income growth among the bottom 40% of the population at a rate exceeding the national average, as outlined in SDG 10.1. We are working toward this through robust employee welfare programs and by dedicating 10% of our profits to social impact initiatives across Africa, advancing inclusive growth and shared prosperity.
Our Impact Story
At Tejumade Tejuoso, we believe fashion can be more than just style; it can be a force for positive change. Founded with a mission to blend sustainability with social impact, our journey begins with a commitment to women’s empowerment, circular fashion practices, and environmental consciousness. As the first brand in Nigeria to introduce a buy-back service, we’re challenging the conventional fashion model by promoting a cycle of reuse and responsible consumption. Each purchase and buy-back from Tejumade Tejuoso is an investment in reducing textile waste and empowering communities.
Our early steps are guided by strong values: we source biodegradable materials, prioritise fair labour practices, and dedicate 10% of our profits to initiatives that educate and uplift women and girls in underserved areas. While our impact journey is just beginning, we’re setting our sights on creating a ripple effect across Nigeria and beyond. As we grow, we envision strengthening sustainable fashion across the continent and proving that fashion and social impact can thrive together.
